Over the course of a year, I had the opportunity to photograph a part of the research process of Nina Siegal for her book, "The Diary Keepers." This book explores the impact of Nazi fascism on Amsterdam in the early 1940s through the lens of seven diaries. Siegal's work presents a narrative from various perspectives, including Jewish, Dutch, and Nazi individuals, offering a comprehensive view of this historical period. I captured moments of Siegal's research journey and visited NIOD, the Amsterdam archive where these diaries are kept.

My photographs were used in various media, including the book's inlay cover and sleeves. "The Diary Keepers" was published by HarperCollins, and released on February 21, 2023
